IRVING, Texas --- The United States Navy has awarded DynCorp International LLC a contract to provide maintenance and support services for the Kuwaiti Air Force F/A-18 program under the Foreign Military Sales Program.
The contract is for one year plus four option years. It is valued at $13,683,264 in 2006 and has a five-year potential value of nearly $64 million dollars. This is a repeat award for DynCorp International, which has held the contract since 1997.
The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity for this cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.
The work includes organizational and intermediate-level aviation maintenance support for 39 F/A-18 aircraft, supply support, quality control, audit review of maintenance and supply, on-the-job training, and maintenance and material documentation services for F/A-18s assigned to the Kuwait Air Force.

The company will continue to maintain and operate a fleet of general and special-purpose vehicles including cranes, tugs, and material-handling equipment, oversee inventory control of all aviation support personal equipment (ASPE) assets, and manage the receipt, storage, and issue of Class V ammunition.
