Recently, Aero Vodochody a.s. has signed a new contract in connection with general overhauls of L-39 military jet trainers in service with Algeria. Aero won the contract in cooperation with PAMCO INT., a long-term exclusive Aero partner in Algeria.
The contract comprises mainly of an audit of the Algerian repair center, which should be followed by a technical assistance with L-39 aircraft general overhauls and repairs of selected parts and assemblies.
In the first stage, general overhauls will be carried out on 10 L-39 aircraft, C and ZA versions. In the closing stage, the contract is supposed to be expanded in cooperation on the complex modernization of Algerian L-39 aircraft parts.
“The first specialist team has just departed for Algeria. The team will carry out initial work, so the general overhauls can be launched. We expect the first stage of this business case to be finished in a one-year period,” said Martin Kubový, Aero Marketing Manager. |
