intracom has signed a contract, budgeted at 2.5 million euros, with syrian telecommunications establishment (ste), syria s primary
telecom organization, following an international allocation to the lowest
tender.
the project involves the supply of wireless digital
access networks based on point-to-multipoint technology (intracom manufactured
ias-w systems). by means of these systems, ste will support telephony,
data and bra-isdn services provision in three syrian prefectures as well
as the capital, damascus, thus significantly ameliorating the quality
of its national telecom network.
